Another option could be to take a bus from Kashmere Gate to Chandigarh and take a cab from Chandigarh with the price ranging from Rs1800 to 3000. But, the most affordable and least time-consuming mode of travel is if you or your significant other has a car, as it takes roughly around 8 hours (max.) by road.

Alternately, many tourists prefer covering the journey from Delhi to Khajjiar by road, either by a bus till Dalhousie or by taking their own car.

Getting There: The most convenient and cost-effective method to reach Palampur is by road, which should take around 10 hours in a car and around 12 hours by bus, ticket prices of which start from Rs 500 onwards. Those keen on travelling by train can take the Amritsar Weekly Train to Jalandhar which takes 7 hours on average, and then rent a car from Jalandhar till Palampur costing around Rs 2000.
