Zee Cafe Brings The Most Brutal Reality Show Judges Since Roadies
If you thought Raghu Ram was harsh, wait for Zee Cafe’s new show.
Zee Café, one of the leading English entertainment channels in India, is all set to launch an exciting new American reality television series, The Toy Box, with kids as the judges. We all know that kids are the hardest to please, just try appeasing a cranky 10-year-old, you’ll know. And what’s more? Kids aren’t afraid to be brutally honest. So, it’s safe to say that contestants will have their work cut out for them.
The new show premieres on May 14th and will air on weekdays at 9 pm. It will be hosted by ‘Modern Family’ star and Emmy award-winning actor, Eric Stonestreet.

The show is the ultimate competition series which will provide budding designers with an opportunity to bring to life their toy concepts, and present their vision to the world.
The Toy Box will feature contestants from around the world, and each episode will give aspiring inventors a chance to present their toy concepts to a selection of industry professionals. These industry professionals will also be their mentor group. In the first phase, the contestants need the approval of the mentors, once approved, the inventors will then showcase their toys to a judges panel consisting solely of children. The children get a chance to judge as well as play with the toys and decide which one works best for them, and this will advance the chosen contestants to the final round.
The season’s winner will get the grand prize of a collaboration with Mattel, one of the largest toy manufacturing countries in the world. Mattel will manufacture and distribute the winning toy across the USA. The show will have a star cast of kiddie judges-- Singer Sophia, internet sensation Noah, child actor Aalyrah and child comedian Toby.
The new show, Toy Box, comes in a programming line-up under Zee Café’s new content band Nine@9 which will bring 9 of the biggest reality shows throughout the year at 9 pm in India. Toy Box will start off this new endeavor, and what a bangin’ start it will be. The Kiddie judges will prove once and for all, that toys are no mere child’s play.
